Biogrāfija

Arta Jēkabsone ir vokāliste, komponiste un aranžētāja. Viņa ir vairāku starptautisku vokālo konkursu laureāte, to starpā  1.vieta Montreux Shure Jazz Voice Competition 2016 un 3. vieta Annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Voice Competition 2021. Ņujorkas pilsētā dzīvojošā latviešu dziedātāja iepriecina klausītājus ar patiesām laimes emocijām mūzikā,  viņas kompozīcijās saplūst džeza mūzikas un latviešu folkloras mūzikas skaņas. Viņas albums “Light”, kā arī projekts “Reflections” ir līdz malām piepildīts ar siltumu, personīgumu un intimitāti, gaismu un cerību. Arta regulāri prezentē savu jaunos darbus The Jazz Gallery, vienā no Ņujorkas pieprasītākajiem džeza klubiem. Pavisam nesen Arta tika apbalvota ar Jazz Gallery Residency Commission Grant 2021, lai prezentētu savu jaunāko koncerta programmu “Searching For a Song”.

Biography

Vocalist, composer, and arranger Arta Jēkabsone is a laureate of several international vocal competitions, including 1st place at the Montreux Shure Jazz Voice Competition 2016 and 3rd place at the Annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Voice Competition 2021. A New York City-based vocalist engages listeners with an emotional and honest, adventurous, and joyful expression of music, her compositions are infused with the folk melodies of her homeland, Latvia. The music on her albums, “Light” and “Reflections”, brims with intimacy, warmth, and crystal-clear focus. A vocal artist of the highest order, Arta regularly presents new works at the Jazz Gallery, one of New York City’s premier venues. In fact, she was recently awarded the Jazz Gallery Residency Commission Grant 2021 and premiered her latest original music project Searching for a Song.
