On October 17th, we invite children of all ages to become real Baltic ambassadors for a day! This event is organized by the presidents of the Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian communities, together with the directors of the Linas Lithuanian School and the Seattle Latvian School. It brings Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian children together to explore their countries' history, language, and traditions through play, dance, and hands-on activities.

Why come? It is a rare chance for children not just to hear about Baltic unity, but to experience it first-hand: tasting traditional foods from each country, exploring tables set with folk costumes, flags, and symbols, learning to say hello and name everyday objects in Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian, learning simple folk dances, and meeting the honorary consuls of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia in person. It is a wonderful way for children to feel proud of their roots and to understand that we are stronger together with our neighbors.

Saturday, October 17th, 10:30 AM–1:00 PM, at the Seattle Latvian Center. This is a potluck, so please bring an appetizer or a family dish (about 15 servings) to share; no peanut based foods, please.
